Union Desk — Privacy Policy

Union Desk is built to help union representatives track their activities, tasks, and follow-ups. We take your privacy seriously and have designed the app to minimize the data we touch.
What we collect
Union Desk only stores information you choose to enter into the app, including:
• Your display name and role/badge label
• Activities, tasks, notes, and any other content you add to your inbox
• App preferences (notification settings, Google Calendar auto-sync preference, etc.)
We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, location data, or any personal information beyond what you type into the app.
Where your data is stored
• On your device. All your entries are saved locally on your iPhone using Apple’s secure SwiftData framework.
• iCloud (optional). If you are signed into iCloud, your data is automatically synced to your private iCloud account so it appears on your other Apple devices. This sync is end-to-end encrypted by Apple, and Union Desk never has access to your iCloud data.
• Google Calendar (optional). If you connect Google Calendar in Settings, Union Desk reads your upcoming events using a read-only Google Sign-In scope so it can import them as activities. Union Desk does not write to your Google Calendar or share your events with anyone. You can disconnect at any time from Settings.
What we do not do
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not show ads.
• We do not have a server that receives your data. Aside from iCloud and Google Calendar (which only run if you opt in), your data never leaves your device.
Third-party services
• Apple iCloud / CloudKit — used for cross-device sync, governed by Apple’s privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
• Google Calendar API — used only when you connect, governed by Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Your rights and controls
• Disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Settings.
• Stop iCloud sync by signing out of iCloud on your device, or by disabling Union Desk under iCloud settings.
• Delete all your data by deleting the Union Desk app from your device. If iCloud sync is on, you can also remove the Union Desk record from iCloud at https://www.icloud.com.
Children’s privacy
Union Desk is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the change.
