Frequently Asked Questions

I graduated in class 215 in 2005. In May of 2024 I will have completed 19 years as a flight attendant for us.

I understand that attending meetings and participating in discussions and even staying up to date may not be enough union participation to earn your vote and that’s a perfectly valid reason. There are only two requirements in our bylaws for someone running for office: be included in the inflight seniority list for at least a year and be in good standing for that same length of time. I feel my other contributions and current knowledge of our contract, bylaws, and procedures would make me a great fit but I’ll respect any feedback to the contrary. You need to vote for who you feel will be a better fit for the position.

No, I’m running so I can give Houston a voice. I’ll work with anyone in office and I’ll respect who the membership votes to take charge.

There’s a difference between voting for something as part of the executive board and voting for yourself. I was a huge opponent of the first AIP, and was a soft yes on the second one. It’s important that I am honest with these things. I have many junior friends and their financial struggles weighed heavily on me. I believed it, when we were told this was the best we could get but ultimately we were misled. It’s obvious the company did not place all their cards on the table. I’ve learned heavily from this experience. I’m dedicated to making informed decisions that are in the best interest of the union members moving forward.

I voted yes on the Strike Authorization Vote. It’s time to heal and to move forward in unity. It’s time to show the company that we are standing together and will not accept a mediocre contract. It’s time we know our worth.
